Hey, How’s it going?
I am an Indian studying Marketing Communications in Canada from Conestoga College. Marketing is such an amazing field, right? I mean you get an thought which using proper marketing mechanism can turn into a billion dollar idea. You just have to have that zest. Anyways, back to my life, my prior education was Bachelor’s in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from Chandigarh India, which as they say is “City Beautiful”. During my 3 years studying in Chandigarh, I also interned at Kempinski Hotels. After completing the 3 year course, I was working with Diageo and then with Moet Hennessy as a Brand Ambassador at Delhi Duty-free.
Relocating from India to Canada because of my education gave me a chance to observe the cultural differences between the two countries. Here, I am learning more about the wide world of marketing and the distinct way it works around the globe. India, as you all know, is renowned for it’s diverse culture but Canada is not far away in that aspect. Being from India, I am expected to act in a way which is comfortable for Indians but might be new to others. Nevertheless, it is exciting for me to know and learn about the culture of Canada and it is an exciting chapter in my life. Canadians are known for their amazing nature and I have experienced this ever since I came here.
Now talking about the learning aspect here, it is surely different from that of India. Learning here is more focused or practical knowledge rather than theorizing everything. One not only conducts their own quizzes, which frankly one has to start from scratch, they conclude the result on their own and form their own views with the findings of the conducted study and this is just one example of the education system on Canada, which I am liking so far.
The motive of this blog is to impart my knowledge of Marketing, turning it into my passion and eventually my profession. A person doesn’t have to be a CEO or a media person to start a blog. Any human being with a passion can start a blog.
